Meet Odie is an interactive book with lots of fun, colorful photographs to illustrate Odie’s story. In it, Odie tells you about himself: why he reads with his nose, wears a dog tag, loves walks, and so much more. His lighthearted book is a good introduction for children getting their first dog. Complementing Odie’s story are “Paw Smart” educational facts. The Paw Smart series includes Meet Odie and Odie Explores.

What Inspired You to Write Your Book?
I wrote the Paw Smart series for Odie's young friends to answer their many questions. The idea for Meet Odie came when two young neighbors moved away. They had joined Odie and me for several neighborhood walks and we missed them. Their interests and questions, along with those from other neighborhood children, were the catalyst for Meet Odie.

Hi. My name is Odin, but friends call me Odie.
I am eight years old. I live in a blue and white house.
My yard has big trees and a goldfish pond with five fish. Some fish are shy and hide, but mine say hello.

Dogs and fish come in many sizes. I am a big dog.
Fish may be smaller or bigger than you and me. They can be as small as peas or as big as school buses.
