What Inspired You to Write Your Book?
Two years ago we found out from the local preacher in India, that there were many children who sadly, had lost their parents. Wanting to help, we began the first orphanage. With a live-in family to care for 10 boys and with financial help to provide school fees, books, food, clothes, shelter, the upbringing of God and of course, lots of love. Later on, one more boy was added to the group!
In 2020, we began to work on creating another orphanage for girls. And in September, 10 precious young girls came to start a new life.
But with 21 kids, and possibly more in the future, there is a lot to do. God will provide! And so, all the proceeds from little Peek-a-Hoot’s book will go to the children.
That is how God works. Write a book about how God is always there for us and to prove it, God provides an avenue to ensure 21 gifted, wonderful souls see His love and care through the hands of people like you!
One evening, when the full moon was rising, little Peek-a-Hoot awoke in his nest and saw his Father sitting strong and patient on the branch beside him. He knew Father was always there, waiting and watching.
Little Peek-a-Hoot complained tiredly to his Father, “Father, I want to fly. I’ve been waiting and waiting.” Peek-a-Hoot shook the sleep from his eyes. He began to hop around and rustle his wings. But he could not fly.
Father smiled. “I know, little one, but flying comes with great responsibility. You will fly some day very soon. First, you must prepare.”
“How do I do that, Father?” Little Peek-a-Hoot perked up his ears.
“Be patient, little one,” Father replied.
“With the right time, your body will grow and one day, very, very soon, you will be ready.”
“How can I be patient, Father?”
“You talk to me, just as you are doing. I will help you. I will encourage you. I will make sure you are ready,” said Father reassuringly.
Clouds came over the trees, and it got darker, much darker. The full moon began to hide.
Little Peek-a-Hoot looked at the sky and didn’t want to fly anymore. Now he was worried. Little Peek-a-Hoot quietly whispered, “Father, I am worried.”
Seeing little Peek-a-Hoot hide in the nest, Father comforted him. “You do not have to worry. Worrying will not help, but talking to Me will. Let’s keep talking.”
Little Peek-a-Hoot liked talking with Father. And Father was right: He always felt better when they were together.
He knew he could trust Father and that Father would always be there to talk to.
Little Peek-a-Hoot poked his head back out of the nest.
