Alexia Kanta spent one summer creating the land of Yoota. These wonderful strange creatures and their short adventures are all sprung from the imagination and creative talent of an eight-year-old- girl.

What Inspired You to Write Your Book?
I was creating these illustrations of two animals/birds/reptiles, joined together. They then became the Katers and they needed somewhere so I created the planet Yoota. I then picked certain characters and wrote a short adventure about them.
My mum is an author and I was very excited to publish my own illustrations and stories.

Hello, I'm Alexia Kanta.
I was born in the UK but live in Greece. My first book Welcome to Yoota was published in 2019 as a paperback, has just been released as an e-book. This is a picture book where each illustration was drawn by hand.
My second book, The CupcakeCats visit Yoota, which was published May 2020 is an adventure book with digital illustrations.
I love drawing and playing Roblox with my friends. I love to sing and I'm a member of my local cheerleading team.
I have many ideas for my next books and I'm very excited to get started on them.
