What Inspired You to Write Your Book?
I have always wanted to write children’s books and finally, this summer I made the big decision!
I want our little ones to grow up knowing more about the world that surrounds us. I would like for them to have the knowledge of different species of animals and less known corners of the world.
But what matters the most, are the values I want to transmit with my books. Diversity, equality, confidence, inclusion, acceptance….
They all are crucial topics in our lives nowadays and I hope my books will help children get familiar with these values in a fun and easy way.
With a deep breath, Ally approached the animals.
“Hello! I’m Ally, and I came the all way from Australia. I love your oasis! Can I help you build the tree house?”
This time, Ally received no answer at all. Just some laughs from the monkeys and a weird look from the rhino who then kept head-butting his tree.
Discouraged, Ally sat down alone under a tree to watch all the other animals enjoying the day.
Suddenly, everyone’s attention was drawn by a loud, sharp noise. A big jeep just arrived at the oasis. It was poachers!
All the animals start to panic and run in every direction! They knew what the humans wanted. They wanted to catch them, put them in cages, and take them away!
It was not the first time that the hunters went to the savannah. And every time, there was nothing the animals could do to push them away.
From under her tree, Ally watched the scene unfold. She could not understand how such hardworking animals could now be so disoriented!
They were running everywhere, not knowing what to do. So, despite the fact that they didn’t treat her very well, she decided to help them.
She had the perfect plan!
Ally had learned a lot during her life. She knew that in the world we are all equally valuable, but at the same time, we are all unique and different from each other. These differences don’t make us weak; on the contrary, they make us special and stronger when we work together!
