What Inspired You to Write Your Book?
Roxy was so smart and never ceased to amaze us on the things she did and how she took care of the family. I was constantly in awe with how she related to Dexter the duck and the other dogs on the farm. This book is basically how Roxy came to live with us but there's a large series about all her adventures

Closer…Closer…Roxy tripped over a branch, rolled down the hill, and landed onto the field. When she looked up, the man with the net was standing right over top of her with a big smile on his face."You're not what I was chasing", he said, "but you will do".

Author Bio:
Rick Stamper was born on May 13, 1959, in Mansfield, Ohio, and moved to Olive Hill, Kentucky, in 1968. His first children's book was published in 2019 about his beloved dog Roxy and all her antics. He and his wife have currently authored and co-authored five books about Roxy and her travels and her "Ride the Tide" to Alabama.
In 1994, Rick, his family, and Roxy moved to Huntsville, Alabama, where they all still reside today. Rick and his wife travel extensively but still spend a lot of time at their cabin in the hills of Kentucky, where it all began.
Rick believes his humble upbringing in these hills contributes to his writing knowledge and his ability to convey life on the farm in his books about Roxy.
