What Inspired You to Write Your Book?
It is actually true that in our house a fart is called a 'murf'. The word 'fart' just sounds so harsh. It is actually true that my mother had my father convinced for years that women do not flatulate. It is true that we had a poodle named Sheeba who let loose some pretty foul smells. So, in a nutshell, this book was inspired by real life events that had us all giggling for years.
Not everyone knows what a murf is. Before I could talk or even took my first step, I knew what a murf was. Babies murf all the time. It makes everyone giggle and point and say, “Oh aren’t you just the cutest little thing?!” The baby usually blows raspberries in response. Someone picks up the baby and puts their nose right in the middle of the baby’s bottom to check if it was a murf or something else, and then they take a peek just to be sure. You get the picture? But the one thing we all know without question? Mamas don’t murf.
