If all that is normal,
the world we all know,
is no longer normal,
then where did it go?
It was spring, maybe winter,
a day long ago,
most everything normal
left town on the go.
Where did it go?
We really don’t know.
So we wait in our house;
one day it will show.
A return to the regular,
the standard routine,
the things we all love,
what a wonderful scene!
A place so familiar,
our everyday sound.
So long to that world;
it’s been tossed, spun around.
On its return,
we’ll sing and dance ‘round.
Scream with excitement,
feet running the ground.

Author Bio:
A few months into COVID-19 Brian was searching for a book to help his children discuss and make sense of their current situation. Many children's books explaining health guidelines existed, but nothing that connected to a child's day-to-day pandemic realities.
This inspired Brian to write 'Hello, Normal. Where Have You Been?' – quickly becoming a classic in the d'Entremont household.
This is Brian's first children's book. He was born and raised in Winchester, MA, and attended Amherst College, earning a BA in English. He currently lives in Ridgewood, NJ with his wife, Mary, and two children, Hugh and Neve (#3 on the way late March).
