What Inspired You to Write Your Book?
I was inspired by the true story of our blind, rescued pug, Glori. I wanted children, their parents, and grandparents to consider adopting older dogs and those with disabilities. I'm hoping they'll see the value in giving these special dogs a second chance at life and love. Older and special needs animals can be wonderful, loving, companions. I adore Glori and am so grateful that she is in my life.

It was a hot and sunny August afternoon when I turned on my computer. It was a day that would change my life forever. I was looking at Facebook when I saw the photo of a little dog. It was a small, tan colored pug. She had short hair, black floppy ears, a dark face, and a squished nose. Her left eye was droopy and her right eye was cloudy and gray.
She was facing the camera and seemed to be looking right at me. Her little body was very skinny. I could see her ribs. I imagined I could feel the bumps of the bones in her spine. She looked so sad and lonely. I hoped she wasn't scared too.
