What Inspired You to Write Your Book?
The children I have had the opportunity to work with as an ELL teacher first in Mongolia and now in Cameroon all inspired this book!
After PE Miss Muggi comes to fetch Anand. What a relief! No more eyeballs glaring when he can’t read a word. No more struggles to print a word he doesn’t understand. Miss Muggi shows him letters. Letters with names he is still learning. Letters with sounds he is still learning. Words with meanings he is trying hard to understand. Miss Muggi is warm and kind. She has a gentle voice. They play games. They laugh. “E el gi piddr.”
