“Confidence is the feeling that you can achieve any goal.”
By reading this story about little Joey, your child will learn what confidence is and how to achieve it. Joey learns from his grandfather how to deal with failure, and he demonstrates examples of confidence by interacting with his dad and his sister.
This story will teach your child that it is okay to fail, but they will also learn how to be determined and continue in their pursuits. Aside from carrying one of the most important lessons “You should always have confidence in yourself”, this book is full of fun and enjoyment.
A Spark of Confidence is for children of all ages because it will teach them something that will last forever – confidence and belief in themselves. Your child will enjoy cute illustrations and charming rhymes.
Targeted Age Group:: 3-8
What Inspired You to Write Your Book?
I've worked around many children who lacked confidence in themselves. I wanted to write a story that they will be able to relate to that would encourage them to always have confidence in themselves even though at times they may fail, but never give up.

One day, Joey played in an important basketball game.
But he missed the winning shot, and he felt such shame.
He was disappointed in himself, so he kicked the game ball.
With tears in his eyes, he ran out of the sports hall.
Joey went home, stormed to his room, angry about the failure he had.
And his grandpa noticed that Joey was so-so-so sad.
"What's wrong, buddy?" Grandpa asked as he knocked on Joey’s door.
"I failed, and I don't want to play this stupid game anymore."
