What Inspired You to Write Your Book?
I’m currently working on a series of children’s books which is a collaboration between myself and R.J.Furness
We came up with the idea to write and illustrate a series that would be called ‘ Little Bedtime Stories’
Short and easy to read books for bedtime that either parents can spend ten minutes reading to their child as part of the bedtime routine or for early readers to be able to read themselves in bed
Each book in the series has or will have the word ‘Little’ in the title
This book A Little Sleepy is a story about a Dormouse that is trying to hibernate for the winter. It teaches children about hibernation and which animals hibernate and which ones do not
A Little Sleepy follows on from A Little Miracle which is about a Badger Cub called Barnaby experiencing the world outside for the first time.
The next book in the series is due out in May and will be titled A Little Shy about a Hedgehog called Henry

Dorothy Dormouse yawned as she snuggled into her leafy nest at the bottom of the oldest Hazel Tree in the forest.
“I’m a little sleepy “ she said, ready for her winter slumber.
“ No time to sleep” said Keith Squirrel, who was busy collecting as many Hazelnuts as he could find.
“ Too busy to sleep. Too busy to sleep “
Dorothy shivered and curled into a ball. “ But it’s so cold, and I need my rest”
