A Colorful Balloon Ride is written to help teach preschoolers and kindergartners their colors. The principle figure used in the book is the rainbow to help break down the order of colors which are red, orange, yellow, green, blue, and purple. The word encouraged throughout the book for early readers to memorize is RAINBOW! By memorizing rainbow, children can remember the correct colors of the objects at the County Fair. As Mary and Emily ride around the County Fair, they learn from Mr. Johan that, Red is for Apple, Orange is for Tiger, Yellow is for the Sun, Green is for the Grass, Blue is for Blue-jay Bird, and Purple is for Grape Snow Cone. By implementing the rainbow and carnival food and nature, it helps toddlers to learn their colors and remember them.
Targeted Age Group:: 2-5
