My name is Jimbo.
I am a homeless cat.
How did this happen, you ask?
Well, if you snuggle up in a warm bed,
I’ll tell you my story…
Several months ago, toward the end of spring and the beginning of summer, I was a normal cat. I was happy, I had a home, and I had an owner who loved me.
My owner’s name was Billy. He was a special kind of person. A cat whisperer, I called him. He could talk to cats like people can talk to other people.
The first time I met him at the animal shelter, he showed me a special glow that went around his head. That’s when I knew he had special talking powers. Just like me.
I am a visual artist and the author of five published books. I was a fiction editor of the literary magazine, CONCLAVE, A JOURNAL OF CHARACTER, and am part of the Squaw Valley Community of Writers. My literary novel, A LIGHT IN THE CANE FIELDS earned two consecutive scholarships at the prestigious Squaw Valley conference and was a top semifinalist in the Amazon Breakthrough Novel competition, earning a tour de force review from Publishers Weekly. My other books are:
The Band of Gypsies
The Twelfth Falcon
I am currently writing a series of illustrated children’s book. The first book in the series, THE ADVENTURES OF JIMBO, THE HOMELESS CAT just came out in February 2013.
