Noah hates going to bed and fights with his parents every night. He throws tantrums and cries until his parents can’t take any more. One night, Noah receives a stuffed dragon to keep him company while he sleeps. The dragon, named Flame, is magic and can fly into the dreams of children. As Noah sleeps, Flame takes him on a fantastical journey where Noah has more fun than he has ever had in his life! He hunts for candy in a castle, rides on a gondola, hikes in a forest of candy canes, and much more.
Eventually, the time comes when Noah must return home. He doesn’t want leave, but Flame promises him that he can come back every night. And so now, Noah happily goes to bed with Flame by his side. And to his parents’ delight, he goes without a fight!
For children who fear the dark or dislike going to bed, this fanciful story is an invitation to a spectacular party! The adorable illustrations, packed with color and whimsical detail, perfectly complement the gently rhyming prose.

What Inspired You to Write Your Book?
Young children are often reluctant to go to bed, which can make bedtime a nightly struggle for many families. Having experienced this problem myself, I was inspired to write a story that not only entertained children but also encouraged them to think of bedtime in a more positive light.
How Did You Come up With Your Characters?
The dragon was inspired by a beautiful, handmade stuffed dragon that I had purchased. The dragon is such a whimsical, colorful piece, and I wanted to incorporate something similar in the story. The boy is loosely based on a young family member who disliked going to bed and would throw tantrums.
Noah rubbed his eyes again and again.
He finally stopped, though I don’t know when.
The amazing sights he saw, he couldn’t believe.
“Could it really be real?” he asked, “Or do my eyes deceive?”
“Anything can be real,” said Flame, “so long as you believe.”
