What Inspired You to Write Your Book?
I was employed at a State facility for severe emotionally challenged adolescents for over 13 years. I brought my Pekingese dog, Lindsey, to work with me on a daily basis. I noticed the positive impact of the dog’s presence on the students so I helped implement the use of therapy dogs into the students’ treatment plans. I called them the angels in fur coats.
Lindsey was the spark of the fantastical idea, what if dogs really are angels in fur coats, which years later led to my fiction fantasy dog book series.
