HERE’S WHAT CHILDREN ARE SAYING ABOUT
The Adventures of Tommy Smurlee:

“I read it two times in one week and at least 10 more times since..” Steven, age 11
“My Mom read The Adventures of Tommy Smurlee aloud to me. I loved it!”Daniel, age 7
“I couldn’t stop reading. Grella’s my favorite character.” Christine, age 12
Targeted Age Group: 9 thru 14
Wudderbuster waddled to the microphone and spread his notes on the podium. “Remember to use caution always, safety first, we’ve lost three campers in our thirty-six years of solving mysteries, and we don’t want to lose any more.” He pulled out his handkerchief to wipe his brow. Getting out of the chair seemed to have tired him.
“Lost? Did they die?” Tommy whispered to Piney and Quid sitting on either side of him.
“One was too ambitious and drowned,” Piney said.
“Another got caught under the wheels of a moving car. That was two years ago,” Quid whispered back. “No one knows what happened to the third. He disappeared.”
“How horrible! Tommy said.
Wudderbuster’s crackly voice continued. “Remember there’s to be absolute secrecy within your group. Thinking ability is essential, as well as your imagination. Sometimes the meaning of a clue may be revealed to you during a dream. Always be alert for answers. One may come to you when you least expect fit. You have seven weeks to solve the mystery. Of course, I expect that you will solve it sooner, but if, at the last week of week no team has succeeded, the mystery will be declared unsolvable.”
Counselor Wudderbuster stopped for a sip water. “The starting place for all teams and the location of the first clue is, by tradition, the speed tunnel.”
Grella poked Tommy and whispered, “It’s tough to get through the tunnel, but once you do, you automatically get the clue.”
